1. Cancellation Windows & Refund Slabs

We understand that unexpected illness, family emergencies, or work commitments can disrupt travel plans. Cancellation requests are calculated strictly based on the date and time when we receive written notice via WhatsApp or Email:

Non-Refundable Components

Special boat entry permits, passenger watchtower fees paid to the West Bengal Forest Department, and emergency diesel allocation costs are non-refundable regardless of the cancellation date.

2. Tour Rescheduling Policy

Rather than cancelling your trip entirely, guests are encouraged to reschedule their tour to an alternate future date:

  • Notice Period: Requests to postpone must be submitted at least 7 days before the scheduled tour date.
  • One-Time Free Rescheduling: You can shift your travel date once without incurring cancellation fees, subject to boat and resort room availability.
  • Validity: Rescheduled trips must be taken within 90 days from the original travel booking date.
  • Peak Season Tariffs: If moving from regular dates to festive peaks (Durga Puja, Diwali, Christmas/New Year week), differential seasonal resort rates will apply.

3. Bad Weather, Cyclones & Tidal Bans

The Sundarbans estuarine delta is vulnerable to coastal weather, tidal surges, and seasonal cyclones. Guest security takes priority above everything else:

  • Government Navigational Bans: If the India Meteorological Department (IMD) or West Bengal Forest Department suspends boat safaris due to high-risk cyclones or heavy river fog, your trip will be converted into a 100% Full-Value Travel Voucher valid for 1 year.
  • Partial Disruptions: If weather halts navigation mid-safari, alternative safe village walks or resort cultural activities (Baul folk music) will be arranged. Unutilized boat hours cannot be reimbursed under Act-of-God circumstances.

4. How to Claim Your Refund

To avoid miscommunication, verbal cancellations are not accepted. Follow this transparent 4-step procedure:
